British Museum Great Russell Street, London is home to a vast array of famous exhibits, sculptures, treasures and incredible collections from around the world. There is also a programme of special exhibitions and daily gallery tours, talks and guided tours. The nearest Tube station is Tottenham Court Road station about an 8 minute walk away.


Open since May, 200, the Tate Modern on the banks of the River Thames, houses an astounding array of international art from both this and last century all with a contemporary / modern theme. Works from the likes of Anish Kapoor, Damien Hirst, Gilbert, Rachel Whiteread and Antony Gormley. The nearest tube station is Blackfriars station about a 10 minute walk away.

The National Gallery in London is home to one of the greatest collections of western European painting in the world. More than 2000 paintings spanning the years from 1250 to 1900 are included. The entire collection is on display in four wings on the main floor where they are arranged by period. Works on display include those of Botticelli, Monet, Constable, Van Gogh and Rembrandt.

The Natural History Museum, London has a large amount of galleries and exhibits, the most famous of which is probably the dinosaur exhibit in the foyer. Kids will thoroughly enjoy themselves as they encounter the hands-on exhibits, earthquake simulation, galleries of terrestrial and marine life while adults cam peruse the shops or have a coffee or bite to eat in the restaurants and cafes.
